Edwin's (E.C.) passion for photography started at an early age when a middle school art teacher turned a classroom closet into a darkroom. My parents gave me a Pentax P3 and I was hooked. During my late teens and early college years the passion dwindled until I went on a cross country road trip with a couple of close friends. We visited the Badlands, Yellowstone and the Rocky Mountains. I was hooked again, but this time it was not just photography, but the beauty of the landscape. We would go on more trips through my college years and one just after I graduated that took us all the way to Alaska.
Fast forward 10 years and I found myelf as an established Architect and a young family on the way. My wife and I took a couple trips that inspired me to pick up the camera again and start taking photos with more of a purpose. As we settled into our family life I started exploring places close by and found that I did not have to go far to find inspiration. The photos you will find on this site are from this latest phase of my life. These are the beautiful landscapes from around the region I call home.
